Forgiveness

ear Friends,

An individual who lives with integrity is one who abides by values that guide him to do the right and honorable thing.  Values are the internalized beliefs and qualities that govern our motives and actions.  Integrity according to Webster is, 1. a state or quality of being complete, undivided, whole; 2. unimpaired, incorruptible, pure; 3. ethical and moral soundness, truthful, virtuous.  When our beliefs, values and behaviors are anchored in our spiritual truth we express those highest qualities and act with the integrity of our sacred being.

However, most people live in a state of separation from the wholeness [holiness] of their perfect divine nature, the God within.  They have not realized their true identity but accept an invalid, limited sense of self, the protective, self-centered ego.  This inaccurate self concept causes limiting and often unfortunate perceptions and life experiences.  Life is lived fearfully from a belief of not having or not being enough.

When we are in harmony with and guided by our highest aspect we act from a state of Self awareness and true authenticity, from a loving, joyful sense of who we really are.  The personal energy radiated from this inner experience of higher knowing creates positive actions that benefit all.  Our ability to create a productive, purposeful, fulfilling life is determined by our integrity, our alignment with our indwelling Spirit.  This inner condition of unity will naturally infuse us with self assurance and the virtuous qualities of love, acceptance, understanding, respect, kindness, honesty, and humility.

As we become inwardly empowered with the integrity of our inherent divinity we will
manifest a successful life of joyful purpose and deep
satisfaction.

Dear ILC Family,

As I contemplate the Power of Forgiveness, I know that it is one of the greatest gifts Spirit has given to us.  There is a saying, "To err is human, to forgive is divine."  I believe that forgiveness is one of our higher divine powers.  It is an aspect of the Christ Light along with Love, Compassion and Understanding.  Jesus taught in the Lord's Prayer that we will be forgiven as we forgive others.  When we use this divine power, we activate the Mystery of Forgiveness.

When we humble ourselves to forgive another, and look at others with eyes filled with deep compassion and a heart that sees through to the inner wounds, challenges and trials of being human, we are seeing with the eyes and heart of the Christ and our connection to the Christ deepens also.

                When we look at ourselves through Christ eyes, and love ourselves as Christ loves us, and extend to ourselves and others understanding and unconditional forgiveness, we can feel greater sense of unity and oneness with Spirit, because we actually are unified on a deeper level.   It feels like the depth of humility as well as the height of spiritual power.

                 Forgiveness says, "I am willing to let this go.  I choose not to be burdened with this hurt and anger anymore.  I chose to free myself from the pain of this wounding."  Sometimes I think I'm doing the other person a favor when I forgive them, but in truth, I'm doing myself the greater favor because part of the mystery is that as we forgive we are healed and lifted up and strengthened.  Our energy is cleansed and purified.  Our hearts are able to open up to receive even greater love and blessings from Spirit.

                When we are forgiving - we discover that we really are for giving.  We are for giving love.  We are for giving kindness.  We are for giving our beautiful light to the world.
